Should I Decline My NTU Offer to Apply to Bath Spa?

Hi! I'm an international student from California deciding between Nottingham Trent and potentially applying to Bath Spa for Psychology. I already have an offer from Nottingham Trent, but i would need to decline it in order to use UCAS Extra to apply to Bath Spa. I want to become a sports psychologist and may return to US for graduate school. I've seen mixed opinions online about NTU since it's not the University of Nottingham, which has made me nervous (as prestigiousness is a big thing here in the US so i sadly have that mindset drilled into me.) I really love Bath as a city, but i know its more known for the arts. Since I'd be moving countries, i want to choose somewhere I'll thrive academically and feel happy living. If you were in my position, would you keep the secured offer at NTU, or take the risk for Bath Spa? And if NTU is a solid choice academically, how do you mentally commit to and feel confident about your decision instead of second guessing it?

Are you confusing Bath Spa with University of Bath? They are two different unis with University of Bath being the strongest academically.

Have you compared the course content at Bath Spa and NTU? Which do you find most interesting?

Also note that you will be paying London prices for accommodation in Bath.

A bird in hand is better than a flock in woods. Unless NTU is absolutely no go, you may wait until Clearing to change to Bath Spa. Good luck.

hi!! just to say, bath spa is actually lower in the league tables for psychology than trent (if rankings are something that matters to you). if i were you i’d pick ntu 1000%, yes bath is gorgeous but in nottingham the student life is honestly amazing and there’s so much to do. you will have good employment prospects if u go to ntu and the hate online is (mostly) jokes
