Catering or Self-catering In U Edinburgh
Hey y'all!
I got an offer from UE and am planning to accept it. I was looking at accommodation and am not sure if I should take catering or self-catering. Can I get your ideas on it? Is it British food, or also international? I have a bunch of allergies and am kind of a picky eater. Thanks!!

Hey! I went to Edinburgh a few years ago and was in self-catered accommodation. So I can't say first hand how the catered food was or what kind of food they provide, but from friends, all I know is that it wasn't the best. I think they would do their best catering to allergies but considering you are a picky eater, I think it may be best for you to go self-catered

hi i'm also looking at firm and probably going catered--you can check out @pollock_food_reviews on insta for up to date examples of what they offer, and if you search “jmcc edinburgh menus” on google, complete lists should show up from past years!!! it isn’t only british (thankfully…idt i could cope with that as an international), and i’m also a bit of a picky eater, but most of it looked fine to me (albeit i don’t have any allergies, just texture issues). however, if your allergies are significant, i'd def go self-catered to avoid any risk of contamination, plus you’ll inevitably get more variety since you have more control. just out of curiosity what have you gotten your offer for??

Thanks a lot for your recommendation!! Talking with a few people, I think I am going to go self-catered.
