You need to compare the modules and optional modules for all years of the course and think about what you would choose if you went there. Which do you find most interesting. Do you get the chance to study abroad or take a placements year - these can add a lot to your graduate CV.

If you do get offers, go the offer-holder days and talk to staff and students. You'll soon be able to work out which option will be best for you.
Hi there,

Both universities are historic with high academic standing. The better choice really comes down to the personality of the city you want to live in for four years. As a 3rd-year student here, I’d say the biggest difference is that Glasgow feels like a living city that happens to have a university, whereas parts of Edinburgh can feel a bit more like a museum city because it's so tourist-heavy.

In Glasgow, the West End is incredibly integrated; you’ll be grabbing a coffee next to locals, artists, and professionals, which gives it a very grounded, real-world energy. It is a very friendly city with a lot of people always ready to help you in case you are lost or unsure.

We also have lots of cafes, bars, clubs and pubs with different vibes. There are more than 300 societies in the uni to build a community and belonging. And there is always an event or pub quiz going on in the student unions or outside. If you want a city that feels high-energy, creative and affordable, Glasgow usually wins.

Ultimately, for your subjects, both are world-class, so I’d recommend checking out Why you SHOULD come to Glasgow! It’s all about where you feel you’ll be most inspired to study!

Hope it helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
