Hi Gparry,
In my accommodation, plenty of people I know have heated drying racks and our accommodation allows it! However, some accommodations allow things such as, sandwich toasters and air fryers but only in the kitchen. Other accommodations have banned those things entirely. It can differ between accommodations and their regulations and some accommodations may not check. It may be worth emailing the accommodation you'd like to choose and see if you can find out anymore information.

Hi,

I am a third year student at Lancaster University. In your first year at Lancaster, most students live in the University accommodation on campus. In this accommodation you aren’t allowed things like a sandwich press in your room but I think you are allowed them in the kitchen as long as you get them checked and approved. This is something that the accommodation managers usually arrange. After first year, if you live in accommodation in town it really depends on your landlords and you would have to ask them.
