drama portfolio tips!

heyy could anyone give me a realistic score of what my section 1 for my aqa drama portfolio would be:
At the beginning of my devising process, our teacher presented us with a range of stimuli encapsulating the theme of travel. They included the song ‘Shotgun’ by George Ezra, an article about Zara Rutherford flying solo around the world, a collage of photos showing different places and four suitcases in the centre of our room. We were inspired by the idea of suitcases, and in particular one with a young girl’s possessions in it, such as a doll and colouring pages and the clothing of a young girl, about 10 years old. Whilst looking through the suitcases, I felt nostalgic as it reminded me of when I was younger and played with dolls and when I go on holiday and have to pack a suitcase. I have decided to use the idea of a doll, but use a toy instead to show the age and maturity of the young girl. Incorporating the wider theme of travel, as a group the characters travel on an aeroplane, travelling of different places. It made me think about different people’s lives and experiences and why they would have what they have in their suitcases. As a group we decided to base our play on a suitcase swap, focusing on the impacts of different people coming into possession of different people’s belongings. Therefore, the aim of our performance is to be humorous and create a piece of drama that people would enjoy.
To develop the piece, I researched the concept on suitcase swaps. These were in the form of online articles. Some of the main examples of this were unintentional but others are the work of criminals wanting to frame other people when carrying illegal substances. Additionally, I discovered that many people realise once they've left the airport rather than inside. A statistic I found was that Seattle's SeaTac airport reported that luggage theft from baggage claim reached record rates, with just 97 cases in 2011 but swelling to nearly 500 in recent years. This further linked into the idea of chaos, in particular when recollecting baggage at reclaim areas, which influenced our piece....I was inspired by the idea of a suitcase swap being unintentional and focused on the idea of different contents within suitcases. This led to the idea of having two suitcases, one belonging to a family and one belonging to two robbers who have just stolen jewels and money. Additionally, I researched a case in 2023 with a group of girls flying to Gran Canaria, and when at the airport realising their friend Yasmin had picked up the wrong suitcase. Luckily, the owner’s contact information was on a label, and the owner was staying 15 minutes away, so it was easy to swap back the suitcases. From this, we have decided to include a girl in our piece who is 10 years old.
We have decided to set out performance across two countries, UK and Paris because it allowed us to show the theme of travel clearly as well as exploring how different/changed locations can cause chaos. I was inspired by the style of comedy, and in particular slapstick comedy, which uses techniques such as timing, exaggeration (with responses/facial expressions), fast chase scenes, disguises, slow reaction timing, sound effects ( made by the actors) comedic falls and caricature-like, distinct personalities. From this list we have decided to deeper explore sound effects made by actors, fast chase scenes and additionally create a totally oblivious, clueless character. This would impact out message of creating a piece of humorous theatre as these skills would create a more memorable play especially with the key idea of coming into possession with other people’s belongings. I have chosen this style because it would allow us to explore a variety of themes such as contrasting lives.
My dramatic intention is to portray an under-the-surface intelligent character with smart thinking and ability to work thing out, in accordance with being a child and wanting the stereotypical things associated with childhood. I will use my vocal and physical skills such as direct eye contact, a high pitch to highlight / create/show
The group’s dramatic aims and intentions for the piece as a whole is to create a comedic piece of theatre. We intend to_______________________________________________.
We will achieve this by _____________________________________________________.
