sfe/nhs lsf

I’m a midwifery student. I was originally a January intake but I am now academically aligned with the September cohort. My university does not offer a January intake anymore, which is part of why this issue has come up.
Student Finance England does not recognise seasonal transfers when you remain on the same course at the same university, so my SFE award letter still shows January.
NHS Learning Support Fund rejected my application because the intake date does not match my actual cohort. I called NHS LSF and they advised that SFE must change the detail on the letter. I then called SFE and they said they cannot amend the intake date due to regulations, but they can provide a formal letter explaining that I am a September student and that January shows due to system policy.
I have now requested this confirmation letter and NHS LSF have added a note to my account to say this is the only evidence I can provide.
Has anyone been in this situation before? Was a confirmation letter from SFE enough for NHS LSF to manually approve it? Does anyone have any other solutions?

As a student midwife who has applied for NHS LSF, a formal confirmation letter from SFE stating that your intake is effectively September, even if your award letter says January, has usually been sufficient for NHS LSF to manually approve the application. Make sure NHS LSF has the letter on file and clearly notes the system limitation; sometimes following up directly with your university's finance or student support office can help expedite approval.
