Daily Drop In: What is your biggest revision sin?

What is your biggest revision sin?

We're all guilty of at least one. For instance, I'm creating this thread rather than doing some very long and boring moderation right now. :colondollar:

Cast your vote and confess below. Extra points if you're doing one of these right now.
Does procrastinating and not actually doing revision count as a revision sin :curious:

I'm with @always-anxious here

I think I'm guilty of them all, but definitely of making a revision timetable and ignoring it.

I also procrastinate to the nines because I need panic to get me through it. It's a wonder how I'm not failing at this point.

Looking at past papers and answering the questions in my head, but not actually writing them down before marking them. I often just look at the mark scheme and go, "Yup, makes sense, probably would have got that", but when it comes to tests and I see the same sort of question, I completely forget what I'm supposed to do 😅

is it bad i do all off them😭

Honestly, I really don’t stick to revision timetables. They’re just not for me. I prefer general to-do-lists with vague time scheduling.

Reply 7

I always end up on TSR when I should be studying, but they do say diamonds are made under pressure :colondollar:

God, everything I do was listed in the poll 💔😭

I do the easiest thing to make myself feel smart

Reply 9

Not doing it then assuming I would do fine in the exams. I always did fine in the exams but doing well is so much better.

Reply 10

That I never did any

This is officially not considered procrastination and here at The Student Room encourage extensive use of TSR.

I used to do this all the time 😅 I never once looked at a question in an exam and thought the same thing. 🥲

I unintentionally procrastinate by developing a story in between study sessions
But, I get so engrossed in what I'm writing that a 5 minute pomodoro break... turns into 25 minutes

YH fr, just start by writing past papers and slowly move on to attempting the questions yourself

Reading this thread is so relieving :o:
I'm not the only one who does all of these!
I usually don't buy stationary and call it revision but maybe making resources but not using or losing them or knowing I font know something and then avoid revising it only for it to come up. Also, breaks. I usually take 5x longer than I was supposed to! :colondollar:
