LAE Stratford — chances of getting in

Hiiiii I applied to LAE Stratford as it truly is the sixth form I see myself going to next year, however I am quite worried and anxious about my chances of getting in and would like to ask what you guys think. For context, I would like to study Bio, Chem and Maths xx

Bio - 9
Chemistry - 8 (only a few marks away from a 9)
English Lit - 9
English Lang - 9
French - 9
History - 9
Maths - 8
Physics - 8
Sociology - 9
RS - 8 (achieved)

Hi! I have also applied here among many other sixth forms. Many sixth forms prioritise students with higher predicted grades so you are definitely more likely to get in, however, this does not guarantee an offer as the school can be oversubscribed (which they are every year) and they also follow a specific criteria. I’d be happy to explain this in more detail. You have already submitted your application so all you can do now is hope for the best!
Good luck!

Hello.
I have also applied to LAE Stratford and I live in south east london.
My predicted is:
Maths-8
English lang-8
English lit-9
Bio-9
Chem-9
Physics-9
Re-9
Business-9
History-7
Average point score of best 8- 8.75
I was wondering if this the average grade point for those applying.
I was also curious how important location is as I am aware that is considered in conditional offers and I know a majority of those applying live in east london, who are closer to the school. Is location more important than grades in some instances? Thank you for responding if you do.

I currently go there and do the exact same subjects that you want to except I also do psychology. I think those predicted grades are perfectly fine to get an offer.

As someone who went to lae, consider lae tottenham or brampton instead. I would strongly advise you to avoide lae stratford and NCS

the ncs one is good advice though that school is a prison

I was cohort 2024 for lae tottenham, but you get the lae startford is really strict. You can get the same grades with more fun/leniency at lae tottenham, and it is easier to get into. Obviously consider distance etc.

It really is 😅. These sixth form colleges are university farms, all they care about is their results. I even had problems with lae tottenham and had to drop maths because they were worried about me getting a low grade for A levels even though there was room for improvement and I was struggling with some personal issues at the time

i mean you can get good grades at any sixth form that doesnt mean you shouldnt go to the best sixth form in the country and we're probably less strict than laet lol we dont do detentions and you guys do
