Hi there 😊
I am a current pharmacy student at the University of Bath. So I did my pharmacy interview a few year ago so I can comment about how it was for me.
So in the interview, you have one interview asking the questions so prepare like you would with other pharmacy interview - "why pharmacy", "why at Plymouth", "what do you like about the course etc". Be sure to look over the Standards of Pharmacy Professional and have a couple of examples in mind of how you've demonstrated this. Also look over some organic chemistry and pharmaceutical calculations as this can come up in the interview. But don't worry about them too much as my interview was really nice and I had plenty of time to solve them. Overall have fun in the interview and try to be as relaxed as possible.
I don't necessarily know too much about being a Bath student at Plymouth but you'll have access to Plymouth great facilities and campus and I guess the only thing that will be similar is the course content and the final degree. So definitely immerse yourself into the Plymouth community.
I would say in terms of difficulty- for first year its quite similar to A-level with some added extra content and you're learning drug names. Then the difficulty does intensify once you start 2nd and 3rd year as you're acknowledging all the tests and medical conditions a patient can have. So I would say it is quite intense some day as you are in from 9am to 6pm but you definitely have time for extra-curricular activities like sports and societies etc.
The decision whether to firm is up to you and whether you can see yourself studying in Plymouth for 4 years. It is great if you like the campus, course structure, location, placements etc. Be sure to factor the things that are important to yourself and hopefully that can help you make a decision
I hope this helps and all the best for the interview!
