Drama school rejections

I've been rejected from basically every single BA Acting Course first round for almost all of them. I auditioned for RADA, LAMDA, Guildhall, Guildford, Royal Central, ArtsEd and Mountview. I only got through to the second round in ArtsEd and in Mountview, however I got cut from ArtsEd and am still waiting to do Mountview recall. I'm also waiting to hear back from Guildford and Royal Central but I'm already pretty sure that they are going to reject me.

I don't want to sound like an egotistical person, but I'm pretty sure I'm a good actor. Like a GOOD actor. I go to EDA BTEC course and one of my friends who's really good in acting always compliments me whenever I do my monologues and she was really shocked when I didn't get in anywhere.

Could it literally just be that I'm not talented enough or good enough? Cause it's obviously getting to me and I just wanna know possible reasons to why I'm not getting in like ANYWHERE.

Try not to be disheartened. Lots of people apply more than once before getting into their dream drama schools. You have recalls - that's a great achievement! And you're still waiting to hear back from others. Honestly, you have no reason to question your talent! You might like this thread :

If this is your first year of applying for a BA Acting, then this is normal. For most BA Acting students it can take 3 or 4 years of applying before you get somewhere. Many elite drama schools prefer slightly older students too. You may be offered a Foundation course and that can be a really good next step that many who do get on Acting BAs do first. It doesn't mean you're not a good actor but it can mean you're still a work in progress. No one is the finished article with most successful professional actors continuing to train and do workshops and master classes throughout their careers. There are few places and many people applying for FDS places and your first year of applying usually looks like this - so don't despair. Rejection is par for the course if you're going to be an actor and this is just the start. Brush yourself down, take a critical look at your audition pieces, see what can be approved and go again. Join the main Drama School application forum on here - someone else posted the link - and read all the stories so that you see this is normal.

You've applied to only really top schools. That's like applying to only Stoxbridge and saying if you don't get in does it mean you're not clever. Why don't you go via Ucas Extra or direct to some schools, apply to a few more (if you're set on going this time). Look for schools which also do foundation courses. Then you might be offered those if you don't get on the BA.

Hey, yeah I've just started applying for Foundation courses to get more experience. Thanks for the advice.
