Cambridge MPHil application timeline

Has anyone who applied for an MPhil a Cambridge in the beginning of February received any news on whether they will be invited for an interview? Or can anyone who has applied for an MPhil in Basic and Translational neuroscience provide a timeline the application. Thank you very much for your help.

Hi I applied in January and I haven't had an interview offer (my portal says 'Decision Pending'), I know a few people who applied the same time as me and had interview offers in the past few weeks. Does your course have an application deadline? You should know within 12 weeks of the deadline if you have been offered a place so if you haven't had a response/interview offer I wouldn't worry yet!

What does your portal status say?

Hi, my portal status still says submitted. I submitted my application approximately the second week of February , and our application funding deadline was in Dec, though the rolling deadline is in April. Maybe they are still taking time considering applications then. Thank you for your help.

My application has now changed to under review by department two weeks ago, anyone knows what to expect? I'm on the 7th week post application.

It mostly depends on how fast the department is and if there were stronger applicants. From what I've noticed there're many who already received offers, rejections or heard nothing back (different mphil btw).

Hi! I emailed the admin team about two weeks ago to ask when we should expect to hear back and they said that they are going to wait until the end of the application period to reach out for interviews to ensure fairness for all applicants. As far as I understand they are doing two batches: one for applicants that applied before the funding deadline and one for after.
