Uni of Bath rejection chemical engineering

Hi, looking for some honest advice,
Yesterday received a rejection from Uni of bath for Meng Chemical engineering with a year in industry.
My question is: Is there any point at all emailing the admissions of bath to ask whether my application to be reconsidered or ask whether therer's anything i can do to strengthen my application to reply for next year with my achieved grades ?

Predicted A* Biol A chem and A maths, but I’m aware these predictions weren’t especially strong or well-evidenced as my teachers randomly decided on the a star for biology and I'm not sure if this has purely given me my rejection as they want the a * in maths.
Received 3 A's during my AS level in maths chem and biol, and a predicted other a star in a non relevant fourth a level.

Had lots of relevant work experience such as chem eng experience in a brewery, pharmacy and uni volunteering linked to sustainable energy.
I was quite gutted by the rejection as I've received offers from Birmingham with the same entry requirements as bath (A*AA) and Exeter and Leeds.
Ive looked at the other options and they'r all good but not quite right especially since Exeter seemed very mechanics heavy and course didn't seem to be very developed yet.
I know bath is extremely competitive so i want realistic advice rather than false hope and if anyone else has been in a similar situation
Thanks

Hello,

I am sorry to read this and understand that an unsuccessful application is very disappointing for you.

You are welcome to email the Admissions team to ask for feedback on your application but it is highly unlikely that they will reconsider their decision.

Chemical Engineering is a competitive course and we do look at the whole application. We consider your predicted grades, your achieved grades at GCSE and your personal statement and use all of this information to make a decision.

The email address is [email protected]

All the best,

University of Bath

Thank you, i genuinely don't know what to do because I am completely gutted as i only want to go to bath, what do you think i should do to make my application stronger as i will be reapplying next year.

Hello again,

It is very hard to receive an unsuccessful decision for a course and a place that you had set your heart on and I am sorry that we were not able to make you an offer.

Unfortunately we can't provide specific advice on your application but we do have a webpage about your personal statement: Personal Statement advice

All the best,

University of Bath
