Hi, I’m just wondering who else is planning to study Optometry with independent prescribing in September 2026. Also have you received offers and if so is it an unconditional or conditional.

one for st andrew’s (the gateway to medicine programme though as i didn’t receive grades for medicine without the foundation year) and i have an interview for aberdeen on the 7th of april for the gateway to medicine course

My daughter received an unconditional for optom in Glasgow last week. Her grades were AABBB in S5 and is doing AH biology in S6 with a few other highers.

was it uni of glasgow or glasgow Caledonian? but that’s very good , well done for her!

It’s Cali. There are only two optom courses in Scotland one at Cali and one at Inverness. Xx
