Imperial Mechanical Engineering Interview

Hi everyone!
I've just been invited to interview for Imperial Mechanical Engineering despite having a fairly low ESAT average.
What sort of questions can I expect, and how would you recommend I prepare?
I would really appreciate any advice.
Thank you!

Hi, I did my aero interview for imperial last week, but i'm assuming they'll be fairly similar. Definitely know your personal statement inside out, they can ask you about anything on it so make sure you're prepared. Also the general why imperial why mechanical engineering questions. in terms of technical questions https://i-want-to-study-engineering.org/ is very good for questions, and also practice graph sketching. But mostly for the technical questions they want to see how you think, so make sure you can articulate your thought process and try not to be silent for too long. if in doubt, just start talking about what you're thinking. hope that helps

Thank you so much, that honestly helps so much! Just also wanted to ask whether they asked any questions that were beyond AS Level?

they didnt for me, but i revised all the alevel content. also probably try to memorise all alevel formulas just in case, it looks better if you know them off by heart rather than having to ask them.
