Applicants to Keele, UEA and Exeter…

Just wondering where else you applied to? I know I can’t narrow it down til I’ve got my UCAT score but interested to know which other med schools appealed to people applying to these ones.

My GCSEs are 99998888776 - but 6 was English language so will count for any med schools that score them. (maths, bio & chem all 9s and also my A level subjects). Expecting to have 3 x A* predicted A levels. I don’t meet any contextual criteria (I’m at a non-selective state school but it has a high attainment 8 score). Also I’m not near any med schools that favour local applicants.

Hi @hopefulH I applied to similar schools and my 4th one was the university of Plymouth I felt like Plymouth was a good suit for me because of how the medical school program is taught and the campus and surrounding areas are really nice. But it’s really a personal preference. If you’re stuck on the 4th choice you can always research different medical schools and see which one you feel best suits you. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I've not really looked at Plymouth, do they select people to interview based on UCAT? Do you know roughly what kind of score is likely to get an interview? Are you applying this year? If so I hope you are getting on okay.

No worries. Plymouth has a more holistic approach so they look at your application as a whole. But you need to meet all the criteria which I’m sure they have listed on their website. So I think for this yeah for the UCAT it was around 1900. I applied but unfortunately I was not given an interview but I still have my other options so hopefully everything goes well. I hope all goes well for you as well. Good luck
