Hi there,

Congratulations on your offer from UCL!

Try not to worry about not hearing back from Durham - it's a very busy period for the Admissions Team, and they are working hard to get through applications. When I applied, I didn't get an offer until March, so I completely get how nerve-wracking it can be. The delay simply comes from the volume of applications that come in (especially for law), and ensuring they are all considered fairly and equally.

Where else have you applied? 🙂

Let me know if you have any questions about studying at Durham; I hope you hear back soon!

do you have any idea when most offers for law come through for durham or at least a range?

Hello,

Applications submitted during the January deadline will receive offers by May 13th. There is no specific time for law offers at Durham, as courses do not determine when offers are given. 😊

Hi there,

Yes, you can receive offers on the weekend, although it is less common than on weekdays. While admissions offices typically work Monday to Friday, UCAS system updates and email notifications can come through over weekends - the same applies for offers past 5:30, where offers are typically sent during working hours, but might come through later. It's not typical, but not impossible. 😊

hi thank you! Can I dm you to ask about different colleges?

Hi!

What is it you're wanting to know?

Picking a college can be difficult. I'm in St Aidans, if you'd like to know anything more about that. 🙂

Colleges are a fantastic part of the university, so I'll try to give you some information to help you decide. 😊I think to inform your decision, you should try to think about what you'd like to prioritise. Colleges will be similar in terms of offering accommodation, college events, sports and societies, and welfare and support - for this reason, no college is a bad one! They'll differ mainly in terms of location, as you mentioned, catered/self-catered and style.

For more information on comparing colleges and choosing the best option for you, you can view a comparison table here of different qualities and features of all colleges:https://www.durham.ac.uk/colleges-and-student-experience/colleges/compare-our-colleges/undergraduate-college-comparison-table/.

I hope this has given you some insight - let me know if you have any questions.
