Wondering what a typical day in the life of an optometry student is like? Beth talks through her first semester as an optometry student at Teesside here.
In terms of passing the course, within each academic year you'll need a minimum of a pass in each module assessment before progressing onto the next stage of the course. But do not worry - your lecturers and course team will fully prepare you and are always there for any support.

I heard you needed 50% overall in every modules to qualify for the integrated masters in MOptom and an Optometrist after

Yeah, I study here, thats right!. You need 40% at minimum on every module for years 1-3. In final (4th) year, to pass each module it must be at minimum 50%. And to qualify, you must have an average of at least 55% across all modules and all must be passed with the minimum grade for that year. For example, you could get a few modules passed at around 40-50% in the first year, but at the end, as long as your average is 55% or higher, you're ok.
