Hi,
I'm hoping there is somebody on here who can advise me regarding funding by Student Finance England and the NHS Learning Support Fund.
Some background:
Some years ago (I'm a mature student) I did a BA (for which I received student finance) and an MA (which I self funded) - both in languages.
I'm now nearing the end of a 3-year integrated MSc in Midwifery.
During my course I have begun to feel like I would have preferred to have trained as a children's nurse instead of a midwife.
I have found a course which is a 2-year MSc in Children's Nursing and I think I would meet the entry requirements for this one I've completed my MSc Midwifery so I'm considering applying.
It starts in January 2027.
However, I understand that student finance will be subject to changes soon, and that from January 2027 it will be the Lifelong Learning Entitlement instead.
Does anybody know how this will affect possible funding?
Just to be clear I will be a registered midwife hoping to qualify as a registered nurse (child) which are separate professions and NMC registrations.
Thank you!
