Bath rejection and durham offer

Outcome of Bath application has no bearing on what Durham may decide. They will have different internal selection criteria.
Regarding the competition, presumably it will be of some benefit, otherwise they wouldn’t have asked to be kept updated about it.

I got rejected from bath for economics with A*A*A in maths economics and english literature and gcses 998888766 , also doing an EPQ that hasn't been marked yet
I have also applied to durham for economics, but I have also been notified to update them about the shroders essay competition, an essay competition for around 15-20 schools, where I came 2nd and recieved £100 because of it
Will the above help me with my durham offer, and if I got rejected from bath will I have a lower chance for durham?

To reiterate what the previous poster said, the decision from Bath will not influence or reflect the decision from Durham. You have some great results predicted, and stand just as good a chance as any other applicant at Durham. 🙂
Durham will consider your application across various factors, including grades/personal statement/course demand - the Shredders Essay Competition is an aspect that will be considered around this. Hopefully you won't be waiting much longer to hear back - the Admissions Team is super busy working through applications at the minute, ensuring offers are given fairly. ☺️
