Heading into the 2026 season we have some changes
Team/driver wise the big news is the debut of Cadillac F1 Team and Audi taking over the Sauber operation. Driver wise the only changes are witihn the Red Bull Eco system. Yuki Tsunoda was dropped entirely with Issak Hadjar being promoted to Red Bull Racing, Hadjar's seat at Racing Bulls was taken by British Rookie Arvid Linblad.
Rules wise ground effect has been dropped, replaced by active aero, in essence the cars will be narrower than last year with both front and rear wings now opening on the straight, the activation of this will be known as straight line mode. The engines will also be different. The MGUH has been dropped, The MGUK (the electircal side of things) has been increased from producing 160BHP to 470BHP with the engine part being reduced to about 540BHP. Being able to deploy and regen energy will be crucial. A side impact of this is the race starts needing to take longer in order to wind up the turbo, Ferrari (powering Haas, Ferrari and Cadillac) are beleived to be best suited to this. With the new rules we have new engine suppliers. Audi powering Audi, Red Bull Power trains are partnered with Ford and also power Racing Bulls. Honda also return with Aston Martin
