Hi, I just got my med offer yesterday. I just wanted to ask when you got an email from Bristol about an offer holder day etc… because I’ve only gotten the ucas email.

They send a link for the offer holder days around 2 days after you get your initial email. You would be looking at booking for next Saturday is there’s still spaces available.

really really good, we got put in small groups and got to take part in these interactive activities, things like drawing all the organs you can think of on someones t shirt, or a roleplay gp appointment, the students were so nice too!

I applied to Warwick, Nottingham and Birmingham + another university for "safety" but I have no intention of going there. I regret not using my choices more wisely.🥲

I'm leaning towards either Warwick or Bristol but I'm not too sure yet. Are you planning on going to a open day for Warwick or any others ?

You still applied to good choices dw. I was thinking of Warwick at the start but after researching their course, engineering isnt really their thing, at least for EEE, for mechanical they are pretty decent from what I ve heard. I am planning to go to both open days cuz who knows maybe I will be surprised by Warwick.

That's what's holding me back from going to Warwick to be honest. I feel like I would be more comfortable there as it's a campus uni and their society culture makes it seem like it would be easier to make friends with people who have common interests in comparison to Bristol as I'm super introverted... 💔

But at the same time I feel like it's important to think about my course too. I'm also planning to go to both open days and decide from there. Have you booked an open day for Warwick yet? I'm going on the 29th of April.

Yep I have. Honestly you just need to visit all open days and then decide. You should remember that both unis are quite big and diverse so you will probably find the right people, but warwick is more diverse from what I know so yeah. Also for engineering, the uni you go to doesnt matter as much compared to other sectors like finance.

Thanks for the advice, hopefully everything goes smoothly for you and me both.

My son (on his gap year) got his unconditional offer through for Maths. He's really keen to go to the offer holders day, but it's fully booked. We're only about an hour away - is there any mileage in just turning up and hoping to get into the talks?
