what should i do when the time comes - pls give advice

Currently i am predicted for my gcses:
maths : 9
triple science : 9
eng lang : 8 (1 off a 9!)
eng lit: 7 (flopped it)
computer science: 9
french: 9
design: 9
fsmq additional maths: A

I have submitted my a level choices for sixth form in my current school
They are maths, further maths, physics and chemistry as i wish to do mechanical engineering at uni (preferably imperial). I took chem as a 4th as our school makes us do 4 to begin with and then allows us to drop it.
HOWEVER, if you take further maths, they prefer you don't drop the fourth as people find it hard especially in yr13 so essentially they are left with 2 a levels. They also make an EPQ mandatory.

the question arises, if i am allowed to drop chem, should I?

btw, im passionate in maths and sciences (on my mocks i got ~95% in sciences and 97 in maths - not tryna flex)

i also am used to many hours of revision on weekends (sometimes 5 hrs a day ) and weekdays(approx 2-3). i also feel i have mastered the art of revision.

so pls give advice about what to do and what i should do my epq on as it is recommended to do it on something related to your intended course at uni.

thank youuu

you should see how it goes for the first couple months, and then see what you wanna drop. universities like to see maths and fm, and phsyics and maths are usually the requirement. so chem would be your best shout if you wanna drop it, plus if you're doing an EPQ, it might be worth it to drop it.
for the EPQ, most people tend to do it on a subject that interests them - it doesnt have to be very directly linked to mech eng as top universities dont even really consider EPQs that much. that being said, it might be useful for your course, or because you really enjoy mech eng in specific and wanna do further research and you can mention that further research and what you learnt from it on your personal statement.
i got similar grades to you (999999998887 with the 7 in english literature hahaha) and i initially did maths, fm, phsyics and computer science, but i got sooo sick of CS and dropped it and i wish i had chosen chem instead bc i wouldve def liked it more lol
but yeah i can give advice or anything if you ever need it 🙂
