My Experience at a Kingston Uni Offer Holder Day

With Kingston's Offer Holder Day less than a week away, I thought I'd share my experience attending the Offer Holder Day! 😁

As I was travelling from Northern Ireland, I arrived in Kingston-upon-Thames the day before the Offer Holder Day with my family. We were luckily able to have a look around Eden Street (the main shopping area), grab a bite to eat in the Bentall Centre and explore the Market Place. If you have the opportunity to walk around town at some point during your Offer Holder Day, I'd highly recommend it! It definitely helped me get a feel for the area and it's only a 10-15 minute walk from both the Knights Park and Penrhyn Road campuses.

When I arrived at Knights Park the next day, I checked in at the registration tent outside the main reception area. Although the event had officially started earlier that morning, I arrived an hour or so in advance of my course taster session at 12pm. This gave me time to grab some free coffee and talk to the Student Ambassadors without feeling like I had too long to wait.

When the time came, I was guided to the course taster session by one of the Student Ambassadors. There were about forty or so of us in the session for BA Fine Art - which was quite a big but nonetheless friendly group! The lecturers hosting the session gave us a brief rundown of what the course involved and then passed out paper and charcoal for a life drawing workshop. After that, we got a tour of the Kingston School of Art facilities including the film studios and the 3D and print workshops. The workshop tour was what impressed me most on the day, but I also loved having the chance to speak to other offer-holders and members of staff.

Once my taster session had finished, I went back to the main reception area to hop on an accommodation tour of Middle Mill. It was great to go inside the halls of residence and have a look at the rooms on offer, and the accommodation guides were extremely good at answering all of my group's questions.

After that, I met up with my family again and headed out for the evening. Attending the Offer Holder Day was a major factor in my decision to come to Kingston - in the three hours or so that I was there, I absolutely fell in love with the Knights Park campus. Considering I'm still here at Kingston nearly four years later and am now pursuing a postgraduate degree, I know I made the right choice.

Kingston has an upcoming Offer Holder Day on Saturday March 7th. If you have any questions about it or just want to have a chat, feel free to leave a reply down below. 🙃

Have people started to receive offers for BA fashion at Kingston yet? Has there been an offer holder day? Thanks

Hi @Kewd3!,

We recently had an Offer Holder Day on Saturday 7th March, but we also have another upcoming Offer Holder Day on Wednesday 8th April. There was a Fashion BA (Hons) Course Experience session on Saturday 7th March, so some students have started to receive offers for the Fashion BA (Hons) course.

If you've applied for the Fashion course and haven't received a decision yet, I'm really sorry for the wait. There's usually a lot of applications and portfolios to look through which does result in some offers being more delayed than others. Hopefully you receive an offer very soon! 🙂

If you have any further questions, just let me know.
