switching sixth forms

I need some advice :frown:

We’re about 6 months into sixth forms, and I honestly feel miserable, I’m mentally not doing well at all, I don’t feel like I fit in, even though I have a lot of my old friends, I dread going in the morning, I’m constantly anxious and uncomfortable.

I do maths edexcel, eng lit aqa and econ edexcel.

I just regret not staying at my old secondary school, the subjects I would’ve chosen and the teachers I would have had, I’ve known them since Yr7. I feel so isolated at this new sixth form, I can’t connect with my teachers at all.

My old secondary does maths edexcel, eng lit aqa and they don’t do econ.

What should I do? Even just advice mentally, the work load isn’t honestly an issue, it’s just I’m so mentally and physically drained from this environment.

I was in a really similar situation, and I know how draining it can feel when a place just doesn’t feel right. It might be worth contacting your old school just to ask what could be possible if the exam boards match and they have space, they sometimes do allow students to return, especially if you’re struggling where you are. Most schools prefer 3 A-levels, but some offer alternatives like changing a subject or doing an EPQ or AS, so they can explain your options. You don’t have to figure everything out right now just asking could give you a bit more clarity and take some pressure off. I really hope everything works out.

Also, what I did when I wanted to go back to mine I emailed my favourite teacher and she did everything to get me back so if possible I'd maybe suggest doing the same thing that way u have a better chance getting in 😊
