EDEXCEL AS - URGENT ADVICE NEEDED!!!! pls help me

So im a pretty smart student who completed my IGCSEs last year (passed with all band 9s). However, i lost all interest in studying because ALs started RIGHT AFTER IGCSEs ended, and didnt concentrate much until now...

I jus realised how much of hot water i am in RN

i do chem, phy and maths for ALs and despite knowing the thoery, when it comes to writing papers i am ABSOLUTELY LOST. I simply cant get myself to apply and get the proper work done

and my school recommends us to do ALs seperately (AS & A2) and I wanna know my options -

do i register for AS this time (due date March 16th)??? Do you folks think that with enough practice I can get hold of the ppr writing styles and everything needed ON TIME?? (I am targeting for a high A so that i can get an overall A* result)

what are your thoughts on doing ALs at once? (in 2027) (AS & A2 together??)
Will the content be too much to handle in one go? I would definitely do ALs together IF the content is not TOO MUCH to handle

worst case scenario - what are ur thoughts on me doing AS in Oct session 2026? I am aware that it will force me to cut back on time for A2 but how BADLY will that affect my A2 preperation for 2027 June??

Also ppl say tht Oct pprs are generally harder...is this true??

*just to clarify i understand thoery, however the type and style of questions asked in the pprs are the reason for my poor performance. I am hesitant to do 2026 May AS because i want REALLY GOOD results for an overall A* (for schols etc.) Ik i have the potential to get an overall A*

*any advice on preparation and lesson or wtever (especially for 2026 AS preperation) would be highly appreciated!!!

Are you sitting modular A levels ie does the AS grade contributes towards the final A level grade?
