Hello, due to various unforeseen circumstances I am now caring for my sister. Part of this means that, at the end of the academic year, we'll be moving to my home, which will require a change in her place of study.
We are looking at transferring her and things seem positive so far; we've opened a discussion with the college we're looking to transfer her to. However, my sister is currently struggling with her attendance due to a mix of illness, the circumstances that lead to me caring for her and a perceived lack of worth when it comes to tutorials.
It's this last one that is giving my wife and I some concern. As my sister does not attend college on the day where she only has tutorial, my wife is worried that this will be looked down on when trying to transfer and may mean that my sister is unable to. My wife is similarly worried that asking this question directly to the prospective college will give the wrong impression that we are totally fine with my sister's attendance and lack thereof. However, I've not seen any evidence that attendance will actually be looked down on when considering the transfer, though this is partially due to the issue that when I say college, search engines assume I am American and am referring to university.
TLDR; does attendance, specifically relating to tutorials, have a bearing on a child being able to transfer to a new college at the start of a new year?
