Nottingham for Physio realistic?

I’m predicted D* in BTEC Sport Extended Diploma, D* in BTEC Business Extended Diploma, and C in A-level Psychology. I’m applying for Physiotherapy (happy with foundation year if needed). Is University of Nottingham realistic with these qualifications, or would you recommend Nottingham Trent/nearby unis instead? Any tips on entry requirements, interviews and placements? 😊

Hiya! Lovely to hear you are considering Nottingham 😊

You can find details of BTEC Entry Requirements on the prospectus page for the course, under 'Alternative Qualifications'.

Generally where you are taking a BTEC worth 2 A-Levels, or 2 BTEC's worth 1 Each, DD BTEC + A at A-Level is required - With the A-Level being in Biology or PE.
As your grades are predicted, there can be a little bit of leeway on exact grade requirements (though any offer will still be as listed on the prospectus), but subject specific requirements cannot be reconsidered.

If you want to explore our foundation, it's called the A30A Health Science with Foundation Year (Linked Here)
As well as having lower grade requirements, the foundation is also more flexible on what subjects you study. We would normally look for DM at BTEC + C at A-Level with no subject specific requirements.

Check out the website for more details, and good luck! If you have any questions, just ask away 😄

All the best,
