Hi! Here’s a quick guide to Teesside University accommodation, based on my own visits as a Student Ambassador and friends experiences. Hopefully it helps you get a feel for each option! If you can, I’d highly recommend coming to an Open Day, the university runs full accommodation tours and talks with wardens, which really helps you decide what suits you best.

Parkside Halls £85/week: Perfect if you want a lively social start to uni without spending too much.

Distance: 4–5 mins from campus

Pros: Sociable, budget-friendly, great for meeting people

Cons: Shared bathrooms, rooms are smaller

East / West Parkside Village £120/week: Great if you want to balance social life with some peace.

Distance: 3–5 mins from campus

Pros: Quiet, village feel, near Albert Park

Cons: Shared bathrooms

Woodlands Halls £125/week: Feels very much like a student “neighbourhood”, somewhere you can focus but still meet people easily.

Distance: Central campus

Pros: Good mix of privacy and community, plenty of study space

Cons: Shared kitchens, can get busy

King Edward’s Square (KES) £155–160/week: Lovely vibe, very picturesque, and really easy to get to lectures.

Distance: On campus

Pros: Pretty courtyard, sociable, very central

Cons: Higher price, fewer rooms

Cornell Quarter £175/week: So convenient for campus life and a good balance between social and private spaces.

Distance: 1 min from campus, 7 mins to town

Pros: Modern, close to campus, social yet private

Cons: Most expensive, slightly smaller rooms

Tip: Visiting an Open Day is the best way to get a feel for them, you can see rooms in person, ask questions, and even chat with wardens about day-to-day life. Each hall has its own vibe, so it really helps you decide which one suits you.

If you want, I can also make an ultra-condensed version under 150 words for TSR that just highlights budget, social, and quiet options and still mentions Open Days perfect for skimmers. Do you want me to do that?

Sure, that would be great 👍
