Music and Psychology BA (Hons)
Hi there. I am looking for someone studying the Music and Psychology BA at Liverpool Hope University. Would you recommend this course and is it taught well? I am considering applying. Thank you

Hope you are doing well! It is great to hear you want to come and study here at Liverpool Hope University.
In terms of the course you are looking at, I have reached out to one of our Student Ambassadors who studies Music and Psychology combined here with us and asked them to answer your question. I have attached the response below in the post for you from Grace (Student studying Music & Psychology Combined BA).
"I would recommend the course. The workload is very manageable as music and psychology are studied completely separately. The tutors are there to support you and will guide you with the assignments and are happy to give feedback throughout the writing process. I personally found composition quite daunting but within a couple weeks I was writing music in no time. The assignments are spread out throughout the year for the most part and you will be provided with any support you seek out".
"In first year in particular it is all about settling in and this is reflected in the psychology assignments. Your personal tutor will have one to one check ins to make sure that you are getting on well. As well as that, the lectures within psychology, especially the research methods lectures, provide the essential information which will be practically applied within the smaller seminar classes".
"If you are considering staying on campus, I would recommend staying on Creative even though you are between the 2 campuses. You will need practice time for the performance classes and the practice rooms are accessible until 9pm. The shuttle bus to Hope park is also very handy as it is right outside creative campus and brings you straight to Hope Park".
