Changing course to dentistry after the first year help

Idk how much sense this will make but im hoping some at least
Basically i want to do dentistry overall but im currently applying for dental hygiene and therapy since my gcse results r mediocre and i do BTECS(curretnly a y13 student) Plymouth gave me some other course i could possibly do since they had too many applications and i read that after the first year there is an opportunity to apply for dentistry instead if i either did clinical physiology or medical science. The requirements for that, or at least the ones stated, just consist of being able to pass the first year of the course id already be on and then like ucat. Theres also the same option with biomedical science but that one does state that you need at least 2 A* and one A so im confused. Does this mean they do not take my gcse and btecs into account for the other two and i could most likely do that? I dont know whether to respond and then take that route or just decline doing another course and try focusing on getting into a different University

No idea, phone admissions and ask. Seems unlikely to me given how competetive dentistry is to get into. I know some few places you can do biomed for one year and transfer but you have to be top of the class and its rare and I would assume you need same A levels. But like I said phone admissions to be sure.
