can i do graphics a level for dentistry?

pretty much the title 😫 im in year 11 thinking of doing chemistry maths and a third? i dont really want to do biology and ive checked the reqs for dentistry, there are four dental unis that would consider me without bio (kcl, cardiff, queen mary and bristol?) i know those are really difficult unis to get into and ive been told theres no safety net there but i am very academic so im thinking ill probably manage to get AA or above for chem and maths when the time comes. for my third a level i want to do graphics but obviously it wouldnt help with dentistry - i was just wondering if i would actually be less likely to get a place at unis if i did it instead of a different a level like eng lit? like if i did come out with an AAA would it be worth less because its graphics?

TLDR can i do graphics with chem and maths for dentistry or would it affect me even if i end up with AAA at a level? and if not what should i replace it with that isnt bio or psych?

Hey Y13 here
Im doing medicine but I am pretty sure most dentistry courses require (or at least favour) 2 sciences, mostly biology and chemistry.
If you wanted to drop maths and do bio, chem and graphics then thats fine. Your 3rd a level does not matter at all unless you are applying to a different course at oxbridge.

I do bio, chem and psych so feel free to ask me any questions about the courses

You can do graphics, thats fine (provided that it is an a level rather than an equivalent)
I would be more concerned over your disinterest in biology- dentistry is quite similar to bio in a lot of respects/theres cross-over between topics and concepts
I do bio and maths for a level so happy to answer questions on either 🙂

not sure how helpful this is but my college has mentioned a few MDV students who took textiles and it helped them with having a steady hand, and it was a nice subject for them to do while studying a lot for stem - which is to say that an arts subject isn’t necessarily irrelevant to dentistry and it can be a good break from work while still being productive. i would ask yourself how much biology is tied in to dentistry (although it is fine to be interested in one bit of a subject but not the rest of it)
