University of reading

I got into University of Reading for PHARMACY 🎉

I wanted to know more about the student life, the quality of teaching , the modules (and do they actually help in real life)and the cost of living.

How is it like to live there as a student and how is the accommodations (safe, clean, equipped, cheap/expensive?).

And how's Reading I'm general.

Thanks for y'all help.

Hi @Kingbella1,

Congratulations on your offer to study Pharmacy here at Reading!

We have loads of great blogs written by students here (click 'content' tab) on a variety of topics.

To answer your questions:

Student Life is diverse here at Reading, there is something for everyone! At our Reading Students Union - From club nights (blog) with themed events to our free student union events such as craft nights to our over 100 + societies! as well as our students sports park and thats not even including Reading town which offers many shopping (named brands and independents) as well as food places - reading town blog, we are also close to London on the train for a day out!

Whilst I don't do pharmacy, some of our other ambassadors do and you can message them on unibuddy with any questions around teaching and their experience on modules - Aya and Safa (who also is doing a preparatory year)

The University of Reading can support financially and provide free guidance through the students union for any money concerns find out more info on the cost of living at reading here

Accommodation - all bills are included, your kitchen is equipped, find out what to bring you can add a meal plan, all our halls are monitored by our on campus security and the home at halls help desk (which you can contact) home@halls , you can find our full accommodation options here, accommodation (blog) - there are a few blogs on accommodation via the link above,

I hope this helps and do let me know if you have any more questions, I'll be happy to help.

Kind Regards,
Sid

First of all, congratulations on your offer! 🥳 This is a bit unrelated to the topic, but I wanted to ask something. How long after your interview did your Reading offer appear on your UCAS?

I had my interview on January 6. They told me it could take months for it to appear on UCAS. So I was just curious about how your process went.
