Postgraduate Master’s Loan – Incorrect Course Start Date Selected (Advice Needed)

Hello,I applied for a Postgraduate Master’s Loan two days ago and have already received the approval letter in my portal. However, I realised I may have selected the wrong course start date.The course actually starts on 5 May 2026, but as there are three intakes each year I was unsure whether to select March or June, and I chose March 2026. The portal now shows the payment schedule and my NI details are being validated with DWP.Could you please advise whether it would be quicker to cancel and submit a new application, or to submit a Postgraduate Change of Circumstances form to correct the start date, as a new application might take several weeks to process?

Hi there,

It would be easier and quicker to submit the Change of Circumstances form. Can you confirm what university you are attending, the full name of the course and how long it lasts?

Good morning Drew, thank you very much for swiftly replying my message. I have now sorted that online within the account portal under "Change Application" and it made the changes almost instantly because it was only the start date changed rest remained same- so happy it all went well.
