Biology at ABB/BBB in Scotland/NI

I’m applying for Biology (or Human Biology/anatomy-style) outside England/Wales. Predicted grades ABB but could be BBB. Any recommendations for unis in Scotland or Northern Ireland with good teaching, labs, and student life? Also curious about campus vibe and placements!

For Scotland, have you looked into Strathclyde at all? It's based in Glasgow City Centre, fairly modern, good labs and great student life (more biomed/immunology, though). Another good match for you would be Dundee, which does have an anatomical sciences course, performs well in rankings, and asks for CCC in A-Level.

The University of Glasgow has an anatomy course that you might enjoy (very different vibes from the City Centre universities, though). It might be worth reaching out to their admissions team, as they do seem to take BBB, but the typical requirement is AAB.

You would also more than meet the requirements for Glasgow Caledonian University, University of the West of Scotland, and Edinburgh Napier, but unfortunately these aren't human biology exclusive.

For campus vibes, people tend to speak highly of Strathclyde and Glasgow Caledonian. And of course, you often have the option of working in industry or studying abroad for a year - regardless of where you end up!
