Hi,

Research the most common condition in gynaecology such as Endometriosis and fibroids, gynaecology-related cancers like cervical and ovarian cancers, vaginal conditions, etc. If it’s a ward then you might be preparing patients pre-op and monitoring them post-op. If it’s an outpatient clinic it will be more minor procedures (e.g., hysterectomy, HRT implant). Overall, it will be a fun experience where you can support women’s health, do general research that is speciality specific and you’ll learn the rest once you start your placement 😊.

All the best
