Samsung book 5 pro 360 reviews

Has anyone used the Samsung book 5 pro 360 for uni, if so any reviews on how it is. Tempted to get this for uni as need something that will last for 6 years for medicine degree. Doubles up as tablet so tempted to go for it.

It is 16inch though so if anyone has had any experience with it, would love to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks

I have used this laptop before and generally speaking I think it was good. The user experience was good and the image quality was amazing.

I think for university it will be more than enough.

Price however is something that you should consider before buying, a new laptop is coming in at around £1600 from Samsung. Although the laptop is it self very good and very suitable for a medical degree I think its important to consider other options as well. I mean you could for example get a Macbook air and iPad air for around the same price, two devices which are known for longetivity plus great connectivity in terms of eco system. You could also go for the MacBook Neo as well which makes the price even cheaper whilst still getting great performance.

I will say any option at this sort of price range will be more than enough for university. You could go a lot cheaper and still get great performance. I would suggest looking into how long these devices last before making the purchase and also if possible go in store and try them out and see what feels good for you, last thing you want is regretting a purchase that is meant to last you 6 years.

Thank you so much for your detailed feedback really helpful. Have considered MacBook and iPad but got Samsung phone and used to the Samsung ecosystem so just thinking will be easier to use. But will certainly look at all the options before deciding, thanks once again.

No problem, eco system is definitely something to consider. Always just go with what will make your life easier in the long run.

Defo lots of options out there

Consider Microsoft SurfacePro if you are contemplating a £1600 purchase.

Thanks yes was also looking at the surface pro. I have a surface pro at the moment and older version and it doesn't seem too different to the latest version so doesn't seem like Microsoft have made many changes over the last few years other than adding a high price tag on.

I agree, like most of these devices not much has changed. New processor, more storage etc, changed external physical packaging but not much else. That's tech for you. If your Surface is running ok and the battery is holding up then I'd say stick with that.

Yep did think of trialling it for a short while and using it to see how it goes, just don't want to be swapping laptops around mid year will be too much hassle that's my concern so was thinking will just invest in a newer laptop at start of uni and that will hopefully last the 5 or 6 years. Current SP7 is good but lags a bit and sometimes on unlocking doesn't respond and just shows Microsoft logo so have to do hard reset and works fine again. Still got 6 months to think about it lol let's see
