Practical endorsement- uni offers??
Hi everyone!! I would really appreciate some advice . I am in year 13 and have an offer from UCL which I’d like to firm but a condition is that I need a pass in the practical endorsement for any science subject . I moved school at the beginning of year 13 and during year 12 I did do some practicals in the old school I was at for Bio and Chem but not all 12 and I don’t know wether the old school would still have evidence of the ones I did . I have missed alot of school due to personal / health reasons but I’ve still got the predicted grades I need and have university offers . My current sixth form is saying they need evidence of practicals Ibe completed which I can try and get but they said if I’ve not done all practicals then there isn’t enough time to do the missed ones at this stage . I’m still not coping well with my health and haven’t been well so I’m not able to go into school much and I’m very stressed if I can’t get a pass for the practical component I won’t be able to go to university even if I get the grades I need . Is there anything I can do like email UCL/other unis about my circumstances or would they still expect me to meet this condition . Thank you!
You can contact UCL but I suspect they will require you to have passed the science endorsement as that's a common requirement for students taking science A-levels.
I would recommend in the first instance though contacting your old school and asking them to provide the information, as hopefully they will hold that information and be able to provide it anyway

Thank you!! I will do that - I don’t think the number of practicals I did at my old school would be enough to pass tho and my current school is saying there’s not enough time for me to be able to catch up on any I’ve missed so idk what to do

Take things one thing at a time. Start by getting in touch with your old school and getting the information from them. Then assess that and see what the next step is
