Hi there!

Nice to meet you & excited to hear you're thinking of studying at Durham. 😊 It's a brilliant university, and lovely place - as somebody from the area. English Literature is a great course here; if you're interested, you can read some student blogs about what it's like:

Let me know if you have any questions about studying here. 🙂
All the best,
-Rosie (DU Representative)

if i'm being completely honest, the ESS content (at least for SL) is relatively straightforward. lots of it are similar to geography so it makes my life so much easier as someone who studies both. there are only a handful of formulas you need to memorise and even then they're quite simple. however when it comes to the exam papers that's when ESS can start to feel a bit more challenging - i don't know what it is but it's always harder to apply the content to the exam than it is to understand the actual content. i mean it's not like there's much analysis either - not like in history for example. maybe it's just very specific exam skills. that's my take at least. hope that's helpful and feel free to ask any further questions if you want

Hi everyone!

JJ here! I'm in Yr 11, as well as the mandatories I take triple, RE, Spanish and Geography. Planning on taking English Lit, Psychology, Politics and an EPQ in sixth form.

I'm an aspiring film maker (writing, producing and directing). I (obviously) love watching films and shows lol. Also love music (I sing), books (novels AND comics) and photography. Planning on learning drums next year!

Assuming you're talking about Lockwood and Co, I've read the books but haven't gotten around to the series yet. Think I'll bump it up the watchlist though, the books were awesome
