Guys pls help

I need to make an authorized absence and report to the school in order to do my gcse resits exams, but they requires to contact parents.

I need to think of a way to word this absence to my parents in a way so i wont technically lie to any of the side.

so for context, i am doing my gcse resits for my sciences in may to june. I would be then doing stem alevel if my gcse jumps up by a grade (which that met the requirement) next year. And my mum absolutely dislikes this plan.

Shes asian so she wants me to follow the regular path instead of wasting a year to do what im passionate about.

Shes serious abt the things she say and very controlling and i do have very bad mommy issues coz i wasnt raised up by her or my dad.

But overall long story short, i will tell them abt the exams eventually becuase they will need to know, but IT CANNOT be known when i am doing the exams, coz my mum will do anything to stop me.

And a side note: i wouldnt want to risk to lie to school but idk, i dk if emailing school on my parents behalf would get me suspended or expelled if i provided actual facts that i am doing exams not skipping school.

Idk tho pls help me out, and pls dont suggest good communication with my parents because it wont work.

Conversation like that always ended with me crying, and them slamming things

Well most school will allow their own students - did you ask? You are in deep water if your Y12 exams clash with the GCSEs.

Don’t worry about all the resits parts coz I am already entered and my fees were paid like 2 months ago, everything is sorted about the exams, it really js I have to make authorised absence coz the exams happen during school time, and I couldn’t let my parents know

You've made it so much more difficult for yourself and I can't see this working.

It will be unauthorised absence which is not great. I can't see a way round this as school will ring your parents to find where you are.

Well what's paid is paid, exam centres suck and won't give OP a refund now... at least they're not in Y13.

@Anonymous#4489 Would you not ask a teacher for advice in this situation, or permission to leave school for x amount of hours-- the exams themselves won't be that long.

A teacher can't give permission that's a huge safeguarding risk and they would be probably be sacked.

Doing four so there would be 9 days that i would just be partial gone for the day, always comes back to school in the afternoon.
Cant wait til im 18 so i can actually deal with stuff simpler😰
But yeah so far my plan really is tell the head of year that none of my parents speak english (partially true, coz my dad dont) and the thing is that my mum is currently in china so they couldnt call her or anything anways, and see how that goes. Hopefully they wont make a big deal coz ive got like exam centre confirmation and exam date pdf ready as evidence

Would they really js randomly text her if the thing is authorized? Imma just see what the head of year says once i tell her about my parents thing

It can't be authorised without a parental letter ... the school will ring your parents. The 'can't speak English' won't work as presumably they've been to at least one Parents Evening.

my friend is lwk so good at skipping skl without his parents finding out. What he does is js get an old letter or email about an appointment (dentist, doctor etc.) and he js changes the date on the email/letter each time he wants to skip. so you could js do that - they wont call ur parents and they wont even question the authenticity of the letter/email 10 times out of 10 (they have better things to worry about).

Also, you could js email/call the skl and say you're sick, if they ask for parental confirmation, js say they're at work and you're home alone. if you really want to sell it, maybe ask them for work you could do at home?

let me know, if these are fine, if not i can give u more methods.
