Personally, (I'm in Year 11) the only difficult thing about GCSE Geography is the case studies. Quite honestly, they bore the hell out of me and memorising them is a drag. Everything else is bearable. Not an insane amount of writing, pretty sure history has quite a bit more based on what my friends say. It has a considerable chunk of content but case study statistics aside, the content is ridiculously easy compared to in other subjects (again, this is my personal view, it may be different for others). I'd say look at the course content and see if it's something that works for you. Also look at the papers, and maybe talk to a subject teacher if you're still not sure. Do the same for history.

Sometimes interesting, sometimes boring (depends on what you like, geo is a very broad subject), pretty easy but theres a crap ton of case studies - make sure you know these IN DETAIL its very important, good luck with your studies

The case studies for Geography are really tiring to revise as there's a lot of facts to remember, you get tested on them a lot as well especially on the 6 and 9 markers; it's easy to forget about the theory bits entirely. If you don't get hold of exam technique in Geography as soon as possible, it's going to be a long and hard day for you. But even if I don't take history, i've heard from my friends that geo is easier and better than history

I did GCSE geography and I loved it, it can be a bit of writing and there is a lot of content but it's fun and worth it. However A-level is very different and so much harder
