Sfe evidence for PFF2

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for PFF2 for the 2025/26 year and need to provide SFE evidence of household income. The issue is that my mum doesn’t have many bills in her name, so I’m not sure what counts as acceptable evidence. Can anyone advise what documents I could use to prove household income in this situation? would a social worker be able to provide a letter.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Have you been asked to provide evidence with the PFF2 form or is it just the form you have been asked to complete?

Thanks, Drew

Hey,

I am asking, as i’ve been given the marital status form to complete, as my mum and dad have separated and as for the PFF2 form, I’ve been told that my mum just needs her national insurance number.

Hi there,

The PFF2 will ask your mum about her national insurance and any income HMRC don't know about. If your parents have separated, we need proof of this. Were your parents married? Have they legally separated?

Hi Claire,
Yes, my parents were married. They have not legally separated, but my mum is currently in the process of getting a divorce. I am not sure yet whether she has received the decree nisi or the decree absolute.
Please let me know if you need any further information.
Kind regards, Angel Edogun.

I was wondering if utilia payments - so tops up are fine, as my mum uses that to pay for electricity/gas and doesn't pay for them separately and she doesn't pay council tax

Hi Angel3142,

In that case, we can potentially accept non standard marital evidence, she will need to explain her marital situation on the Martial Status Declaration form along with the tenancy agreement/mortgage statement that is in their name only with 2 other household bills. If that evidence is not available, they can explain this on the form.

Thanks, Clare
