In need of Revision tips and help with going up a grade A levels

Currently predicted 3 Bs and I need 3As; Bio, psych, English lit

I enjoy things like mind maps so don’t mind doing that, but it doesn’t take long for that to get repetitive and annoying so I need new study methods!!!

I can’t do physical flashcards as I never go through them, I don’t mjnd gizmo but I can’t do that while at college because they don’t allow AI

And I’m sick of just taking notes on a page

Use PMT exam QU's by topic its a good way to strengthen your knowledge of a specific topic. You can also do some of the kahoot interactive quizes on Tutor2U.
Those are both for bio and psy

I also find bear it in mind on youtube quite useful and then taking notes whilst the video is playing, espeically if its on a topic my teacher wasn't very good at explaining (psychology)

Hi @Sarahgeorose ,

It can be hard to find the right revision method and you may benefit from changing it up every so often. You do not necessarily need to use the same revision method for everything. 😊

I always recommend first identifying the right learning style for you. These include:

Visual 👁- Mind maps, diagrams, colour coding
Auditory 👂- read aloud, audio books and discussions
Kinaesthetic 🤝- building models, taking notes and teaching others. I recommend doing a little bit of research into each one, you may even choose to do a combination of them.

Since you get bored of certain revision methods, you may wish to combine different methods and change things up regularly. If you want to avoid just taking notes, you could try auditory styles like podcasts, or try teaching others. I use to love teaching my friends and family about particular topics and it was personally my favourite revision method.

I recommend doing some research into which learning styles you believe may be right for you and looking into recommended revision methods.

I hope this helps, please feel free to ask me any questions,
-Sophia (University of Lancashire)
