Daily Drop In: What time did you go to sleep last night?

Some of us are out here getting a full 8 hours like functional human beings. Some of us saw 1am and thought "yeah, one more episode." Some of us don't even remember going to sleep, we just woke up with our face on a textbook and called it a night.

Whatever your sleep lore is, drop it below. Bonus points if you can explain how you ended up awake that late, because there is always a reason and it is never a good one.
I went to bed just before midnight. I have been trying to improve my sleep so I turn my lights off around half an hour before I actually go to bed and turn on my (pink) lava lamp. I then read for about half an hour on my Kobo - I am currently reading Life, Death and Biscuits by Anthea Allen.

Sunday night/Monday morning I was up until 1am preparing my thread on the roles paramedics can do. Yes this is shameless self promotion.

I was falling asleep in my books at like 11pm, then tried to sleep properly but was wide awake til like 12.30 researching local history for no reason whatsoever.

The situation here (in the center of Israel) is like this, no matter when you go to sleep you will still have less than 8hrs of sleep by 9am.

I can't remember what time I went to bed but It was certainly earlier than you

no no i was talking bout what time i went to bed on monday. Yesterday was a fluke i felt asleep by accident ok it doesnt count.

Um 4am is safety whatchu mean whats 4am. I mean my sleeping has improved before i went bed at like 4 woke up at 5 and stayed up untill class but now i sleep after 5 again

i was asleep by 5.30pm after a very exhausting day in hospital , and am somehow still tired today , despite having 14 hours sleep , how that is possible ,i have no idea🤦*♀️

We don’t want to tell you to go to bed but…sleep is the most productive thing you can do while doing nothing 👀 We're talking about sleep from a Psychology perspective.

11.30pm ish last night I was so sleepy :sleep: If I'm lucky I can fall asleep straight away
Usually aim for between 10 - 11pm, start work at 6am, up at 5am. Come home at 1pm, if I'm tired I have a 1- 2 hour sleep in the afternoon if i need it :hide:

i accidently fell asleep at like 7pm and only woke up at 9am.

Wow that must be terrifying, how do you manage? Are you studying for university as well?

I'm done with studying a long time ago.

Now I'm in the reserve service as an ambulance medical assistant (the lowest rank of the ambulance staff). Fortunately there are not many calls, which is a good sign actually.
It is funny to be sometimes the oldest in the crew and the least trained. Sometimes there are older medics and sometimes there are less trained newbies, but usually I'm the oldest and the least trained. (I'm 36).

We all trying to take the situation with as much humor as possible just to stay sane.
