UCL or Brunel

hello everyone.

I am currently struggling between the choice of UCL for civil engineering or Brunel university for electrical engineering, i'm trying to make the most money possible in the future so im really struggling to weigh my options.
on one hand electrical engineering has a higher salary potential but on the other civil engineering at a prestigious university like ucl opens other doors, i'm not sure which to pick from at all, i may even go to patent law for a higher earning potential but they want EE majors rather than Civil.
I mean. Have you actually considered the significantly different content of each course?

There's no point doing one course because you think the job it leads to will pay better, if you actually don't want to do that job in the end anyway because you don't like the concepts you'll be working with day to day in that career...

Also civil engineers have good salaries, just as electrical engineers (and indeed all engineers) do. However none of them make "loads of money" as with most jobs.

The only jobs that make "loads of money" are things like investment banking or management consulting and similar (two areas for which UCL is the only viable option of the two due to being a target uni for those sectors).

Equally though the vast majority of people can live comfortable lives without making "loads of money" and there's a lot more to life than having a lot of money in your bank account (and often, little time to do anything with it...).
