Hey, it's great to hear you have an offer with us. You can ask some of our current students is they have any packing tips on the link below:

Also check out the videos below to find out what some of our students recommend packing:

I hope that helps and let me know if you have any questions. 😊

Hey! First of all, congrats on accepting your offer for the comic and concept art course over at Leeds - that's amazing!

Second of all, reviewing the Leeds Art Uni website for your course - it seems most course tools will be provided towards you so don't worry too much if say you don't have a strong computer, as they have suites available to work in! 🙂

As someone in a similar course to you (Game Art), at the beginning of my year as a First Year we did a lot of foundation based art skills such as still life, and live studies so a sketchbook and pencils is an absolute must! Consider packing alternative art media such as charcoal, coloured pencils, and maybe water colours if your Uni allows it. Or even a tonal sketchbook like gray/brown for tonal practices! 🎨

If you have a solid computer already, I definitely recommend purchasing an Art tablet of your own if you prefer working at home rather than going out to your buildings to work there as your course is incredibly drawing heavy alongside using digital modelling software!

Now! Onto more general packing, I responded to another user's thread previously on a list I made of things that I personally packed/recommend others do! https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7651841&p=101087334 I hope this can help as well.

If you have anymore questions, please let me know and I'll be happy to help!
