Hi there! 😄
Congrats on receiving your offers, that’s a great position to be in!
I’m a final-year Digital Media student at London Metropolitan University, so I can only really speak from my experience there rather than the other universities you mentioned.
One advantage of studying a course like fashion communication or journalism in London is that you’re surrounded by the industry. London Met’s Aldgate and Shoreditch campuses are where many of the creative courses are based, and they’re located in a very creative part of the city, close to media companies, fashion brands, events, and cultural organisations. Being in London can open up opportunities for networking, internships, and industry exposure while you’re studying.
If you’re considering London Met, there’s also a Mini Open Day for the Aldgate and Shoreditch campuses on Saturday 25th April, where you can see the facilities and speak with staff and students
I’d definitely recommend attending open days for the universities you’re considering so you can compare the courses, facilities, and overall feel of the place.
Best of luck with your decision! 🤗

Hey there @towiewowie!

Congratulations on your offers!

One of the best ways to find out what it's like to study at Manchester Met is to speak to one of our current students via the Unibuddy platform. We have quite a few current Fashion students on the site who will be happy to tell you more about the course, the city, and what it's like being a student here. To get started, you can visit: https://www.mmu.ac.uk/chat-with-us-unibuddy.

We also have a Visit Days coming up in April, which are great opportunities to compare courses and get a feel for student life at each university. As you're an offer holder, you should have received an email invite, so be sure to check those and make the trip to visit us if you can!

I hope this has helped!
Louie 😊

Congratulations! Great to have choices.

Avoid London Met at all costs. They are currently making hundreds of teaching and student support staff redundant. This will impact students in a big way. I studied there and witnessed what happens when they are in financial difficulties, as they regularly are. The campus is a mess, the IT infrastructure is almost antique, management are over-promoted and out of touch, and there is a very gloomy atmosphere all round. Don't take risks with one of the biggest decisions you may make.
