Courtauld

Hi! I am an international student going into conservation of art. I have acceptances from City and Guilds of London Art School, the Courtauld, University of Lincoln, Cardiff, and Glasgow. I am most interested in the Courtauld, CGLAS, and Lincoln though. My mind is torn as to whether its better to study art history at a prestigious school like the Courtauld or if skipping straight to conservation work at CGLAS or Lincoln would be better. If anyone from any of these schools has something to say that might sway my decision please respond.
Is this for a bachelors degree or a masters degree?

Bachelors

My understanding is that to work as a conservator you realistically need to do one of a few different masters degrees anyway, which all generally seem to indicate a background in history of art, fine art, or the sciences are the required areas to have a degree in. So I'd probably suggest aiming for history of art rather than conservation for an undergraduate degree and if so I imagine the Courtauld is the place to be. Obviously as an international student though, the financial aspect is a much bigger consideration in terms of tuition fees, and adding onto that the cost of living in London, it is worth just making sure that is financially viable to study there and that is a reasonable justification to consider alternatives!
