Firm/insurance for physio vs sport

I’ve got conditional offers: Physio (Sheffield Hallam) 128 points, Sports & Exercise Therapy (Leeds Beckett) 112, Sports Therapy (Sheffield Hallam) 112, Sports Science (Sheffield Hallam) 112.

I would eventually like to go into private/sport but don’t want to limit options.

Thinking physio as firm. Which would you pick as an insurance and why (course quality, placements, career outcomes, student experience, unis [i am from sheffield and can drive so location isn’t a problem] )? 🏥⚽️

Hi Erinrodgers,

Congratulations on your offers!
If you want to keep in line with Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy will be the most similar. It may be best to come to an open day and ask our lecturers for more in depth information about the course. We have one next Saturday (21st March), you can book here. This may also be useful to learn more about course content and how you will be assessed.

This entirely depends on what course you believe you will enjoy the most if you do not get into physio, its really important to do your research and not rush into big decisions like this, you may find it useful to talk to our ambassadors on The Ambassador Platform or you could reach out to the lecturers listed on the course page.

I hope this helps,

Lana - SHU Student Ambassador 😊

thank you for getting back to me!! I went to one on the 28th of Feb. I went to all the talks and Sports therapy just felt like they didn’t really know as it’s the first year they are offering it. They did not sell it all it.

that’s was drawing me more towards Leeds Beckett Sports and exercise therapy.
