York, does it do 'take home' exams?

Hello. I'm an offer holder for the University of York for History and Politics, and I loved the location and the course when I went for an offer holder day.
I've also done an offer holder day for Warwick for the same course, where they stated that, at least for History, they only did take home exams instead of the sit down in person ones, a system I really do prefer.
I didn't get a clarification from York on how their exam system works when I was there, so I'm wondering if anyone who's doing this course or something similar might have an answer for me? (also how anyone feels about york in general..?) Thanks!

I'm so sorry that you didn't get an answer to your question when you came to a Visit Day for Offer Holders. On the History/Politics course page, it says: "Assessments range from research essay to collaborative projects to open-note examinations.". To me, that sounds like you'll do some assessments in an exam hall, and some at home. But to get full clarification, I'd recommend getting in touch with the Department directly: [email protected]
