Newcastle or Reading MPharm

I’m currently a preparatory year student at the University of Reading for MPharm but I am also an offer holder for MPharm at Newcastle university. Everyone I ask has a different opinion on which university I should choose. I also have an offer from Teesside university for MPharm but I do not have any plans to accept it.
Im from Teesside which is why Newcastle would be good just because of location.
However, based purely on the university and the job prospects that it may bring me, which university is a better choice?

Hi,

In terms of career prospects, all MPharm degrees are accredited by the GPhC, so it doesn’t really matter where you study - what matters is completing the degree, completing your training, and passing the registration exam. Choosing between universities is more about personal preference, such as campus facilities, teaching and support, the city, accommodation and transport, cost of living, and student life.

It’s worth considering what environment you’ll enjoy most over the next four years, since enjoying your time at university can make a big difference in your overall experience. I’d also recommend speaking to current students and attending offer holder days if you can.

Hope this helps,
